Holy Rosary School partner with Lens of Hope
Holy Rosary School is proud to announce its partnership with Lens of Hope (Lens of Hope South Africa in support of World Sight Day on 9 October).
Together, we are launching a bold campaign to collect 8,500 pairs of old spectacles, (the school’s 85th birthday helped us come up with the figure), which will be refurbished and distributed to individuals in need—restoring not just vision, but dignity and opportunity.
This initiative is part of a broader commitment to global eye health.
Holy Rosary has accepted the World Sight Day Challenge from the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), joining their worldwide movement to #LoveYourEyes. The campaign advocates for accessible, available, and affordable eye care for everyone, everywhere. It rallies individuals and organisations to bring eye care to more people — helping make World Sight Day a megaphone for eye care awareness and equity.
Holy Rosary School will be the main collection point.
We are asking people to drop off old spectacles or cases during school hours at the school. Alternatively, should your area, business, school or church wish to receive a collection box and poster to display for the months of September and October, please complete an enquiry form on the website with all your details and we will contact you.
